As a struggling artist from the mid 80’s, my one and only goal was to be represented by a Fine Art gallery. Thinking that having a degree in Fine Arts would immediately put me in that position. Boy was I wrong!
I have had my ups and downs with my art. Worked in watercolors for many years and pursued a career as a watercolor artist but was not able to get any further than doing a few commission portraits for close friends. Still searching for a way to express my creative side I took up underwater photography and managed to have a museum in Alabama display my work at a one man show. The response was wonderful but I knew I still was not where I wanted to be.
I continued to search and was involved in various aspects of creative arts. In between I kept up with my sewing, which I had been doing since I was 10.
Designing and working in textiles has always been a passion and I knew that I could work the colors of the fabrics like paints.
