GETTING STARTED:
Set sewing machine to make small stitches. Back stitch at the end of all seams to secure. Seams are a scant 1⁄4 inch. Make templates for the head, leg, and arms by tracing or gluing pattern pieces to sturdy paper (about the weight of an index card). Read all instructions before starting.

THE HEAD:
Using air erase marker, trace head pattern onto doubled fabric. Sew on lines as
indicated. Go slowly around the lip area, as this part is a little tricky.

Cut out head front and back leaving a small seam allowance. Turn head back right side out. Put inside of head front, right sides together. Line up center front and back seams on head and carefully stitch the two together along side seam.

Stuff the head lightly to shape.

Take a small ball of stuffing to insert into the nose area, pinning to hold in place. Take small pieces of stuffing and insert them into the lips.

Continue stuffing the head to fill in cheeks and chin.
